My school had a masquerade dance yesterday and I decided to drop by
Last weekend, my sister and I participated in a local art festival called Chalk the Walk where you can purchase a 8’x10’ sidewalk square and draw whatever you’d like using chalk pastels to participate in a judged contest.
We chose this picture of the Disney Castle, and the best part by far was hearing the little girls squeal over it. Heck, even some adults squealed over it.
We started Saturday evening and then came back Sunday morning and worked through the entire day. Overall, it took somewhere around 12 hours, finishing right at judging time on Sunday evening. It was a long day!
This was our first year participating, and we were awarded honorable mention out of 70+ art entries! It was a fantastic experience.
Plus, I won 25 dollars. Does that make me a professional artist now?
